The scheme of planning of the town (of all categories) with all the common components like ʰ, Parikhā, ṭṭ, gates, Gopuras, roads, and streets together with the site-planning, residential quarters of the towns-men belonging to different castes and professions and the temples has been elaborated here in this chapter, the notice of which has been taken in detail in a separate part of this Study (vide Part II, Town Planning).
N.B.—Chapter XIX entitled ‘Āyādinirṇaya� deals with one of the five fundamental canons of Architecture and therefore is reserved for detailed notice in the chapter ahead.
