笔补峁囜笉颈迟补-谤腻箩补 闯补驳补苍苍腻迟丑补 illustrates an indirect contrast:

ni艣i ni岣arad-indira峁� katha峁� 迟耻濒补测腻尘补岣� kalay膩pi pa峁卥ajam ||鈥淗ow could we compare a lotus, whose resplendence goes away at night, with even a fraction of your face, which gives pleasure with its splendor ever pleasing to the eye?鈥� (Rasa-驳补峁単腻诲丑补谤补, KM p. 347).
Here the verb 迟耻濒补测腻尘补岣� (we compare) expresses the comparison.
