kyaci—in the scope of the suffix [k]ya[c]; -ādi—of the word of comparison such as (like); upameya—and of the subject of the comparison; —when there is a rejection (exclusion) ( = nir).

The elliptical simile characterized by the ellipsis of the upameya and of the word of comparison occurs when the suffix [k]ya[c] is used.

der upameyasya ca nir kyaci ca dṛśyate. (The translation of the elaboration was incorporated in the translation of the ūٰ.)
