Treatment for fever (135): Sarva-jvarankusha rasa

One part of mercury and one part of sulphur are to be rubbed together, and reduced to kajjali or black powder. Then, mix with this, one part each of the following:�maricha, shuthi, pippali, cardamom, croton seeds, kustha, kirata tikta, and musta (all finely powdered). The compound is then to be subjected bhavana with the juices of leaves of nirgundi and ginger, and made into pills, one rakti in weight each. The body of the patient is to be covered with a piece of cloth, after he takes the medicine. It cures all sorts of fever.
