Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (manubh膩峁a):
If a man gets all this done by 鈥�another wife鈥欌�攐ne belonging to a different caste鈥攚hile she of the same caste, is still living,鈥攈e, though a Br膩hma峁嘺, is as good as a 鈥�颁补峁囜笉腻濒补.鈥� This has been so held by the ancients.鈥�(87)
