鈥�膧办丑测腻苍腻苍颈鈥欌赌斺�楲egends relating to Supar峁嘺, Mitr膩varu峁嘺 and the rest, related in the 峁歡veda鈥� (Medh膩tithi, Govindar膩ja, Kull奴ka and R膩ghav膩nanda);鈥斺�榮uch legends as occur in the 叠谤腻丑尘补峁嘺蝉鈥� (N膩r膩ya峁嘺);鈥斺�榯he legends relating to the death of Ka峁僺a and so forth鈥� (Nandana).

Comparative notes by various authors

膧艣val膩yana G峁沨yas奴tra (4.8.10).鈥斺�楻ealising that they have become satisfied, he shall make them listen to the 惭补诲丑耻尘补迟墨 verses, as also the mantra 鈥�顿补办峁�a苍苍补尘墨尘补诲补苍迟补, etc.鈥�

痴颈峁ａ箛耻 (73.26).鈥斺�業tih膩sas, 笔耻谤腻峁嘺s and Dharma艣膩stras.鈥�

尝补驳丑耻-膧艣惫补濒腻测补苍补 (23.66-67).鈥斺�楾he hymns beginning with the words 狈腻蝉补诲腻蝉颈迟, etc., should be repeated before the 叠谤腻丑尘补峁嘺蝉 while they are eating; as also the hymn 碍峁涐箛耻峁�v补, etc., and also the 搁补办峁�o驳丑苍补 mantras; the hymn beginning with 础驳苍颈尘墨濒别 should be recited in praise of the Pit峁泂, as also other sacred hymns, all the time that the feeding of 叠谤腻丑尘补峁嘺蝉 goes on.鈥�

笔补诲尘补辫耻谤腻峁嘺 (Caturvarga-cint膩ma峁噄-艢r膩ddha, p. 1070).鈥斺�楢t the rite in honour of Pit峁泂, one shall have recited the Veda, the 笔耻谤腻峁嘺s and the supplements, as also the hymns sacred to Brahm膩, 痴颈峁ａ箛耻, Arka and Rudra.鈥�

Yama (Caturvarga-cint膩ma峁噄-艢r膩ddha, p. 1070).鈥斺�楾he Veda should be recited, as also the Dharma-艣膩stras over and over again; he shall recite before them the several Itih膩sas also.鈥�

Pracetas (Caturvarga-cint膩ma峁噄-艢r膩ddha, p. 1070).鈥斺�楢fter the 叠谤腻丑尘补峁嘺蝉 have taken their food, he shall recite before them, the 峁歬, the Yaj奴峁� and the S膩man as also all that is sacred to the Pit峁泂.鈥�

碍腻迟测腻测补苍补 (础辫补谤腻谤办补, p. 501).鈥斺�榃hile the 叠谤腻丑尘补峁嘺蝉 are eating, one shall repeat the G膩yatr墨 with the Pra峁嘺va and the Vy膩h峁泃is, once or thrice, as also the 搁补办峁�o驳丑苍补 mantras, the Pit峁�-mantras, the Puru峁�as奴kta and other sacred texts.鈥�

叠补耻诲丑腻测补苍补 (础辫补谤腻谤办补, p. 502).鈥斺�楾he 搁补办峁�o驳丑苍补 S膩mas, the Yaju峁� texts with 蝉惫补诲丑腻 and the 惭补诲丑耻-峁沰蝉鈥攖hese should be recited to the eaters.鈥�
