pa帽cait膩n vistaro hanti tasm膩nnaiheta vistaram || 126 ||Respectful treatment, place and time, purity and the qualities of Br膩hma峁嘺s,鈥攁 large company hampers these five; therefore one shall not seek a large company.鈥�(126)
Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (尘补苍耻产丑腻峁补):
Since 鈥榣arge company鈥� entails all these defects, therefore 鈥榣arge company鈥� is not considered desirable. When, however, respectful treatment and the rest are found feasible, then one might net according to one鈥檚 enthusiasm.
鈥�Respectful treatment鈥欌�攃areful preparation of the food.
鈥�Place鈥欌�攇round sloping to the south, and so forth (which has been recommended for 艢谤腻诲诲丑补蝉), as one going to be described below (in 207).
鈥�Time鈥欌�攖he afternoon; laid dowu in such texts as 鈥榳hen the sun has just passed the meridian, &c.鈥�
鈥�Purity鈥欌�攐f oneself, of the Br膩hma峁嘺s invited, and of his own servants.
鈥�Qualities of Br膩hma峁嘺s鈥欌�攖he obtaining of qualified Br膩hma峁嘺s.
All these advantages are such as must be secured; and these are hampered by having a large company; hence large company becomes a drawback; and this is involved in inviting too many Br膩hma峁嘺s. Hence 鈥榦ne should not seek鈥欌�攂ring together鈥斺��a large company.鈥欌�� (126)
