Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (尘补苍耻产丑腻峁补):
He becomes the sanctifier of his company; 鈥�company鈥� stands here for a number of persons arranged in a particular order; this 鈥�he purifies,鈥� makes free from taint; i.e., all sinful men, by associating with him, become sinless.
鈥�Kindreds鈥欌�攑ersons born in his own family ;鈥斺��seven higher,鈥� those above him, the Father &c., and 鈥�seven lower,鈥� those that are to come, yet to be born.
He alone is entitled to receive the gift of this earth extending to the oceans; 鈥榢nowledge of Dharma鈥� establishes a claim to become the recipient; hence it is that a full knowledge of Dharma is sought to be acquired.鈥�(105)
