3. Then ±Ê°ù²¹ÂáÄå±è²¹³Ù¾± worshipped these three Vedas. And from those Vedas that were worshipped he extracted the essence. From the Ṛg Veda he got ‘bhÅ«á¸�,â€� from the Yajur Veda he got ‘bhuvaá¸�,â€� and from the ³§Äå³¾²¹ Veda he got ‘svaḥâ€�.

Saá¸� etÄm trayÄ«m vidyÄm abhyatapat, [then] he worshipped the knowledge from these three; tasyaá¸� tapyamÄnÄyÄá¸�, from these that he worshipped; rasÄn prÄvá¹›hat, he extracted the essence; bhÅ«á¸� iti á¹›gbhyaá¸�, ‘bhūḥâ€� from the Ṛg Veda; bhuvaá¸� iti yajurbhyaá¸�, ‘bhuvaḥâ€� from the Yajur Veda; svaá¸� iti sÄmabhyaá¸�, ‘svaḥâ€� from the ³§Äå³¾²¹ Veda.
