The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.3.68, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. तन�-निदानम� अनासाद्य सद्योऽज्ञासिषम� आमृशन् �
श्रीमद�-गुरु-प्रसादाप्त-वस्त�-सेवा-प्रभावतः � ६८ �tan-nidānam ⲹ sadyo'jñāsiṣam 峾ṛśa |
śī-ܰ-ٲ-ٳ--屹ٲ� || 68 ||ٲ-ԾԲ–the reason for that; ⲹ–not attaining; ⲹ�–at once; ñṣa–I understood; 峾ṛśa–while thinking; śīٲܰ–of my glorious guru; 岹–by the mercy; ٲ–aٳٲԱ; vastu–to the substantial item; –of service rendered; 屹ٲ�–by the power.
At first I could not discern even a trace of the reason for my discontent, but as soon as I reflected on it, everything immediately became clear by the influence of my service to the mantra that Śī Gurudeva had mercifully given me.

Śī Gopa-ܳ says, “At first, I could not grasp why I was dissatisfied. However, as soon as I pondered the situation, I could immediately understand everything. How is that? It was possible by the influence of my service to the ten-syllable mantra that Śī Gurudeva had mercifully given me.�
