鈥淗e is the giver of both material pleasure and liberation, and he increases the devotees鈥� love for 叠丑补驳补惫腻苍. He is worshipable by all liberated souls and is very dear to the 痴补颈峁ａ箛补惫补蝉.

艢谤墨尘补苍 狈补苍诲墨艣惫补谤补 says, 鈥溑歳墨 艢颈惫补 displays ever-increasing devotion and affection for 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺, and this makes 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺鈥檚 love for him increase further. Although he is 产丑补驳补惫腻苍, a worshipable lord himself, he increases one鈥檚 devotion for 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺.鈥� It may also be said, 鈥淎lthough he bestows sense pleasure and liberation, he also increases devotion (bhakti), which is the crest jewel of all the goals of human life (辫耻谤耻峁Ｄ乺迟丑补蝉).鈥�

Here, when 艢r墨 狈补苍诲墨艣惫补谤补, who is 艢r墨 艢颈惫补鈥檚 devotee, uses the words bhagavad-bhakti-vardhana, it conveys the following meaning: 艢r墨 艢颈惫补 augments the devotee鈥檚 love for him when the devotee regards him (艢颈惫补) as nondifferent from 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺. However, by his words and his behavior, Lord 艢颈惫补 only increases devotion to 叠丑补驳补惫腻苍 in this world. For this reason, he is dear to the 痴补颈峁ａ箛补惫补蝉. He is also dear to all 痴补颈峁ａ箛补惫补蝉 because he is nondifferent from 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺. Or, it can be said that because the 痴补颈峁ａ箛补惫补蝉 receive 艢r墨 艢颈惫补鈥檚 association, he is dear to them.
