The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.3.29, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. श्री-गो�-कुमा� उवाच�
तद� अशेषम् अनादृत्य विष्णु-शक्त�-धिया परम् �
ता� नत्वावरण� रम्य-वर्ण� तद� द्रष्टुम� अभ्रमम� � २९ �śrī-gopa-ܳ ܱ峦�
tad śṣa ṛtⲹ ṣṇ-śپ- param |
tā� Բٱvaraṇa� ramya-varṇa� tad ṣṭܳ abhramam || 29 ||śī-DZ貹-ܳ�–Ś� Gopa-ܳ; ܱ峦–s; tat–t; śṣa–eٳԲ; ṛtⲹ–iԴǰԲ; ṣṇ-śپ–the energy of Śī վṣṇ; –cDzԲԲ; param–t; 峾–to her; Բٱ–bowing down; 屹ṇa–the covering; ramya–bܳپڳܱ; ṇa–cDZǰ; tat–t; ṣṭܳ–to see; abhramam–I wandered.
Śī Gopa-ܳ said: I accepted neither the mystic perfections such as ṇi presented by ʰṛt-ī, nor her words, but I bowed before her, considering her only to be the energy of վṣṇ. Then I began wandering around to see the beautiful luster of her layer.

Śī Gopa-ܳ says, “The goddess of material energy had brought me many gifts, including ṇi and the other mystic perfections. But I did not accept those offerings, nor did I regard her words. Considering her to be merely the energy of վṣṇ, I offered her obeisances. Then I began to wander here and there to look at the enchanting hue of her layer.�
