A desire then arose in my heart and I pondered, “Can I also worship Śī as Indra does? Will Śī mercifully satisfy my desire? Accepting whatever might happen, I remained there, chanting my mantra with this aspiration.
Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda
(By Śīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)
Śī Gopa-ܳ says, “I pondered, ‘Will I be so fortunate as to serve the Supreme Lord as Indra does, with the wealth of the three worlds? Will Śī վṣṇ bestow His mercy unto me and make me fortunate by fulfilling my desire, impossible as it may seem? I then thought, ‘Ś is the master of inconceivable opulences, and at the same time He is extraordinarily merciful–He can make the impossible come to pass. Thinking like this, I took up residence in Svarga and chanted the mantra of my Deity with determination.
