The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.1.54, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). सोत्कण्ठ� मथुरां गन्तुं मुहुस् ता� कीर्तयंस� तत� �
� तद�-दे�-दिशं गच्छन् प्रयाग� प्रा� वर्त्मनि � ५४ �sotkaṇṭho mathurā� gantu� muhus tā� kīrtayaṃs ٲٲ� |
sa tad-deśa-diśa� gacchan prayāga� 貹 vartmani || 54 ||-ٰܳ첹ṇṭ�–with eagerness; ٳܰ峾–Mٳܰ; gantum–to go; ܳ�–rٱ; tam–that (word ‘Ѳٳܰ�); īٲⲹ–sԲԲ; ٲٲ�–t; �–h; ٲ-ś–of that country; 徱ś–in the direction; gacchan–gǾԲ; 岵–at ʰ岵; 貹–r; vartmani–on the road.
Hearing this, the ṇa became very eager to go to Ѳٳܰ. Repeatedly singing “Ѳٳܰ�, Ѳٳܰ,� he walked in that direction. On the way, he came to ʰ岵.

Śī ʲīṣi says, “Upon hearing the words of ٱī and Ѳ𱹲, the ṇa developed an eagerness to go to Ѳٳܰ. While repeatedly performing īٲԲ of the name, singing ‘Ѳٳܰ�, Ѳٳܰ,� he began to walk towards Ѳٳܰ from śī.� Ѳٳܰ is the kingdom of King ŚūԲ and is situated west of śī.
Traveling in this way towards Ѳٳܰ, he came to ʰ岵.
