(This is my first reqest for a boon.)
Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda
(By Śīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)
In this way, Śī 岹 is petitioning for two boons as he praises . The two verses beginning with ⲹ ⲹ elaborate upon this.
“O Ჹ-ṃs, King of the swanlike devotees, who swims in the lake of divine love of the vraja-ī! Just as the royal swan happily lives in a lake, similarly You also live happily in the lake of the love of the residents of Vraja. May I wander everywhere while constantly drinking the nectar of Your all-attractive holy names, arising from the nectarean ocean of Gokula. Thus may I make the whole world happy by spreading the mellow of the īٲԲ of Your names as I perform my activities like a foolish person, that is, simultaneously laughing, crying, making uproarious sounds of lamentation and dancing, due to the manifestation of the bliss of prema.
Or rather, the import of saying activities like a mad person is that just as a mad person forgets his body and his bodily activities and wanders everywhere in the world, similarly, may I also forget my body and bodily endeavors and always drink the nectar of Your holy names. (This is my first request.)
What is the nature of that maddening nectar of the holy names of ? Your names are even sweeter than the sweetest names, just as names such as Śī վṣṇ, Śī ⲹṇa, Śī ṃh, Śī 峾Ի, Śī Mathurānātha, Śī 岹Ի and others are so sweet. If you say then, “Why are the names that arise from the ocean of Śī Gokula sweeter than all these names? He replies that the names that manifest through His indescribable dress, decoration and pastimes
in Gokula themselves are extremely sweet.
The following names are related to the attire: Ś-piccha-mauli, “One whose head is decorated with peacock feathers, ҳñ屹ٲṃs, “One whose ornaments are made from small red ñᲹ , Kadamba-ūṣaԲ, “One who wears the ornaments of the Kadamba flowers and so on. Names that are manifest by His activities are: ūٲ-ṇa-Բ, “killer of ūٲԲ; Ś첹ṭa-ñᲹԲ, “killer of Śakaṭāsura, the cart demon, and so on. Moreover, the following names are on the combination of dress, ornamentation and pastimes, for example, Śī Nanda-nandana, Son of Śī Nanda ѲᲹ, Śī ۲śǻvatsala, “One who is beloved of Śī ۲śǻ, Śī ҴDZ辱-manohara, “One who steals the minds of the DZī, Śī Vraja-janānanda, “One who gives bliss to the residents of Vraja.
