The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.7.32, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. अनेन स्वप्न-विघ्ने� दीर्घे� स्वान्�-हारिणा �
अन्य-वासरवत� काले शयनान् नोत्थितं मय� � ३२ �anena svapna-vighnena dīrgheṇa svānta-hāriṇ� |
anya-vāsaravat kāle śayanān notthita� mayā || 32 ||“Like this, before long this enchanting dream became a hindrance. Thus I could not get up from bed at the proper time like any other day.�

Although Śrī ṛṣṇa narrated the dream, still ۲śǻ kept staring with unblinking eyes for a long time. Seeing this, Śrī ṛṣṇa thought to Himself, ‘Seeing me sleeping for a long time, has become unhappy due to fear that I may be unwell.� Thinking in this way, while consoling His , He spoke, “O mother, this disturbance came for a long time in the form of an enchanting dream, so I could not get up from bed at daybreak.�
