Śī Uddhava had profusely obtained the mercy of Śī ṛṣṇa that early or present-day devotees had never before attained. Therefore, Śī 󲹲 Himself addressed him as His majesty and the best of the devotees of 󲹲.

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

Beginning with ܰٲԲ (devotees of yore or long ago), Śī depicts the glories of Śī Uddhava in these next six verses. Profusely receiving the mercy of Śī 󲹲, Śī Uddhava is the best among 岵ٲ devotees. Thus 󲹲 personally addressed him as -ūپ (possessor of magnificent opulence), and even though he is a devotee of 󲹲, still due to being most exalted like 󲹲, he is described as the possessor of the majesty of 󲹲. In the Eleventh Canto in the վūپ-Dz chapter 󲹲 Śī ṛṣṇa personally says, tva tu bhāgavateṣv aham: “Among the 岵ٲ devotees of 󲹲, I am Śī Uddhava. (Śīmad-岵ٲm or 岵ٲ ʳܰṇa 11.16.29)
