The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.3.72, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. रुक्मिणी सा मह�-लक्ष्मी� कृष्णस� तु भगवान् स्वयम् �
तस्य� अंशावतार� हि वामनाद� समीपत� � ७२ �

rukmiṇ� sā mahā-lakṣmī� kṛṣṇas tu 󲹲 svayam |
tasyā aṃśāvatārā hi vāmanādi samīpata� || 72 ||

Śī Ѳṣmī, the presiding goddess of Śī Vaikuntha, is Śī ܰ쳾ṇ�, and Śī ṛṣṇa is svayam 󲹲, whose plenary manifestations are Śī 峾Բ and others. Śī ṣmī-ī is manifest as the plenary manifestation of Śī ܰ쳾ṇ�.

If said, where on earth is Ѳṣmī in the city of ٱ? Then, Śī ܰ쳾ṇ�, the daughter of Bhiṣmaka, is certainly there. Yes, that is a fact. However, in what way does the śⲹ or extensive opulences of ղṇṭ exist in ٱ? I am describing, please hear.

You should understand that the daughter of Bhiṣmaka, Śī ܰ쳾ṇ�-ī, to be ղṇṭśī, the presiding goddess of ղṇṭ, who is Ѳṣmī. If you say, ṣmī is always attending Bhagavān and never goes anywhere without the association of Bhagavān, then how can she be present in ٱ? Therefore, he declares that ٱnātha Śī ṛṣṇa is that Bhagavān. If you say furthermore, that before the deities of Śī 峾Բ, Sahasra-śīrṣ�, the thousand-headed Ѳܰṣa, Śī Kapila and others, these goddesses of fortune are manifest, then who are they? Therefore, he says that beside the plenary incarnations of Śī ṛṣṇa, such as Śī 峾Բ, are present the plenary portions of ṣmīs. Moreover, Ѳṣmī is present herself in the form of Śī ܰ쳾ṇ�. In this way, the glories of Śī Ѳṣmī, the presiding goddess of ղṇṭ, are manifest.
