: Google Books: ManthanabhairavatantramVijayamitra (啶掂た啶溹く啶た啶む啶�) is the 鈥渨orship name鈥� of 闯补辫腻苍补苍诲补鈥攐ne of the Sixteen Siddhas according to the Manth膩nabhairavatantra, a vast sprawling work that belongs to a corpus of Tantric texts concerned with the worship of the goddess Kubjik膩.鈥擳hese sixteen spiritual teachers represent the disciples of the Nine N膩thas who propagated the Western Transmission noted in the Kubjik膩 Tantras.鈥敶巢贡枘宀圆共曰宀� is the Cary膩 name of this N膩tha. His P奴j膩 or 鈥渨orship name鈥� is Vijayamitra (or Vijaya according to the commentary).
Shakta (啶多ぞ啶曕啶�, 艣膩kta) or Shaktism (艣膩ktism) represents a tradition of Hinduism where the Goddess (Devi) is revered and worshipped. Shakta literature includes a range of scriptures, including various Agamas and Tantras, although its roots may be traced back to the Vedas.

Seemingly, Vijayamitra was the son of Avacharaya Viyemitra who is mentioned in the Indrava rman鈥檚 silver reliquary inscription. Recently found Bajaur reliquary inscription indicates that King Vijayamitra ascended the throne in 798 BCE. This inscription refers to 27 th regnal year of Vijayamitra which is equal to the 73 rd year of Azes era (844 BCE) and the 201 st year of Yavana era (972 BCE).
