According to Viṣṇupurṇa (12.1 of 2nd. Aṃśa), the Moon’s chariot has three wheels and is drawn by ten white horses.

Klanemi clashed with Nandin; Śumbha fought Gaṇeśa and Niśumbha hesitatingly (śṅkٲ) rushed at Krttikeya. With five arrows Niśumbha hit the peacock of Krttikeya in the chest and it fell unconscious. Then the infuriated Krttikeya discharged five arrows at his chariot and pierced the horses and the charioteer (syandana). [...]�.
