: archive.org: Trisastisalakapurusacaritra厂惫补谤峁嘺办奴濒腻 (啶膏啶掂ぐ啷嵿ぃ啶曕啶侧ぞ) (or Suvar峁嘺k奴l膩) and R奴pyak奴l膩 are two great rivers situated in the Haira峁噛avata zone of Jamb奴dv墨pa which is situated in the 鈥渕iddle world鈥� (madhyaloka), according to chapter 2.2 [补箩颈迟补苍腻迟丑补-肠补谤颈迟谤补] of Hemacandra鈥檚 11th century Tri峁峁ａ弓i艣al膩k膩puru峁caritra: an ancient Sanskrit epic poem narrating the history and legends of sixty-three illustrious persons in Jainism.
Accordingly:鈥斺�淚n Bharatak峁tra there are the great rivers, Ga峁単膩 and Sindhu; in the zone named Haimavata, Rohit膩 and Rohit膩峁兣浤�; in the Harivar峁ka zone, the rivers Harit and Harik膩nt膩; in the Mah膩videhas the best rivers 艢墨t膩 and 艢墨tod膩 Narak膩nt膩 and Nar墨k膩nt膩 in the zone Ramyaka; 厂惫补谤峁嘺办奴濒腻 and R奴pyak奴l膩 in the zone Haira峁噛avata; Rakt膩 and Raktod膩 in the zone Air膩vata. The first of each pair (i.e., 厂惫补谤峁嘺办奴濒腻) flows to the east and the second (i.e., R奴pyak奴l膩) to the west. The great rivers Ga峁単膩 and Sindhu are each attended by 14,000 best rivers. Each pair of the others is attended by twice as many rivers as the preceding pair up to 艢墨t膩 and 艢墨tod膩. The northern rivers (north of Videha) are equal to the southern. 艢墨t膩 and 艢墨tod膩, however, are attended by 532,000 rivers each鈥�.
