: Wisdom Library: Lokottarav膩da厂耻产丑奴峁迟补办丑补峁囜笉补 (啶膏啶啶粪た啶む啶`啶�) is the name of a Buddha under whom 艢膩kyamuni (or Gautama, 鈥榯he historical Buddha鈥�) acquired merit along the first through nine 产丑奴尘颈蝉, according to the 惭补丑腻惫补蝉迟耻. There are in total ten 产丑奴尘颈蝉 representing the ten stages of the Bodhisattva鈥檚 path towards enlightenment.
厂耻产丑奴峁迟补办丑补峁囜笉补 is but one among the 500 Buddhas enumerated in the 惭补丑腻惫补蝉迟耻 during a conversation between Mah膩k膩ty膩yana and Mah膩k膩艣yapa, both principle disciples of Gautama Buddha. The 惭补丑腻惫补蝉迟耻 is an important text of the Lokottarav膩da school of buddhism, dating from the 2nd century BCE.

Mahayana (啶す啶距く啶距え, mah膩y膩na) is a major branch of Buddhism focusing on the path of a Bodhisattva (spiritual aspirants/ enlightened beings).
