2) (vii) Another battle was fought between 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 and Arjuna. (Mah膩bh膩rata Dro峁嘺 Parva, Chapter 92, Verse 36).

3) 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 (啶多啶班啶むぞ啶啶膏).鈥擜 K峁triya king. He was born from a portion of the Daitya, Krodhava艣a. We get the following details about him from Mah膩bh膩rata:
(i) 艢ruty膩yus was the re-birth of Krodhava艣a, the Daitya. (Mah膩bh膩rata 膧di Parva, Chapter 67, Verse 64).
(ii) 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉, who was a Mah膩ratha (a great warrior) was present at the Svaya峁僾ara of Draupad墨. (Mah膩bh膩rata 膧di Parva, Chapter 185, Verse 21).
(iii) This 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 was a member of Yudhi峁ａ弓hira鈥檚 assembly. (Mah膩bh膩rata Sabh膩 Parva, Chapter 4, Verse 28).
(iv) On the first day of Bh膩rata battle, there was a clash between 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 and Ir膩v膩n. (Mah膩bh膩rata Bh墨峁a Parva, Chapter 45, Verse 69).
(v) He was the King of Amba峁ａ弓ha country. In the Bh膩rata battle he encountered Arjuna. (Mah膩bh膩rata Bh墨峁a Parva, Chapter 59, Verse 75).
(vi) It was this 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 who stood in the middle portion of the Krau帽ca Vy奴ha formed by Bh墨峁a in the above battle. (Mah膩bh膩rata Bh墨峁a Parva, Chapter 75, Verse 22).
(vii) Yudhi峁ａ弓hira defeated 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉. (Mah膩bh膩rata Bh墨峁a Parva, Chapter 84, Verse 1).
(viii) At Kuruk峁tra, Arjuna killed 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 in the battle. Arjuna had to fight a fierce battle in order to kill 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉. (Mah膩bh膩rata Dro峁嘺 Parva, Chapter 98).
4) 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 (啶多啶班啶むぞ啶啶膏).鈥擜 warrior who fought on the Kaurava side. He was the brother of the hero Ayut膩yus. In Bh膩rata battle, both these brothers joined the Kauravas. Both were assigned the task of defending the southern wing of the Kaurava army. After a life-and-death struggle, Arjuna killed both of them. (Mah膩bh膩rata Dro峁嘺 Parva, Chapter 95, Verse 7).

Pur奴ravas begets on her six sons鈥斈�yu, Mayu, Am膩yu, Vi艣v膩yu, 艢at膩yu and 艢谤耻迟腻测耻蝉 (艢rut膩yu). All these are celebrated like Semi-divine beings (devayonaya).
The Purana (啶啶班ぞ啶�, pur膩峁嘺s) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India鈥檚 vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
