The Ś岹첹ܲٳܲ (शब्दकौस्तु) is one of four grammatical texts known to have been written by Bhaṭṭoji Dīkṣita. The overall structure of the Ś岹첹ܲٳܲ is based on Patañjali's Mahābhāṣya, in that it follows the division of that text into āhnikas, the first two being directed to preliminary questions such as the purpose and definition of grammar (貹貹śԾ첹), and the system of sounds with which the grammar operates (ٲԾ첹).
