: Journal of the University of Bombay Volume V: Apabhramsa metres (2)厂补峁僰墨谤峁嘺蝉办补苍诲丑补办补 (啶膏啶曕啶班啶｀じ啷嵿啶ㄠ啶о) refers to a variation 骋墨迟颈, which itself is a variety of 骋腻迟丑腻: one of the oldest Prakrit meters probably developed out of the epic Anu峁ａ弓ubh, as discussed in books such as the Chandonu艣膩sana, Kavidarpa峁嘺, V峁泃taj膩tisamuccaya and Svayambh奴chandas.鈥擜mong the metres derived from the 骋腻迟丑腻, 骋墨迟颈, Upag墨ti and Udg墨ti are most important. 骋墨迟颈 is made with two first halves of a 骋腻迟丑腻. [...] If in a 骋墨迟颈, 辫补帽肠补尘腻迟谤补蝉 were substituted for any of the 肠补迟耻谤尘腻迟谤补蝉 without any restriction, it gets the name Vicitr膩, and if a 肠补迟耻谤尘腻迟谤补 is substituted for the last long letter in each half, the 骋墨迟颈 is called Skandhaka. [...] A 厂补峁僰墨谤峁嘺蝉办补苍诲丑补办补 is formed with one half of 骋墨迟颈 and another of Skandhaka.鈥擭andit膩岣峢ya (骋腻迟丑腻lak峁峁嘺, vv. 63-65) mentions 厂补峁僰墨谤峁嘺蝉办补苍诲丑补办补 as G膩thin墨. Nandit膩岣峢ya鈥檚 names are perhaps the older ones and are also adopted by Pi峁単ala at I.48, 49, 60-63.
