: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationRaudravapus (啶班啶︵啶班さ啶啶膏) refers to 鈥�(assuming) a terrible form鈥�, according to the 艢ivapur膩峁嘺 2.5.23 (鈥淥utraging the modesty of V峁沶d膩鈥�).鈥擜ccordingly, after 艢iva spoke to the Daityas: 鈥淭hen the infuriated 艢iva assuming a terrible form (raudravapur-dhara), became as dreadful as the fire of dissolution, all of a sudden. On seeing the Daitya standing in front like the lofty peak of Meru and hearing from others that he could not be killed, he stood ready for it. As desired by Brahm膩, the lord protector of the worlds decided to kill Jalandhara, blessing him in the heart of his heart. [...]鈥�.
