Pravaravrata (प्रवरव्र�) refers to the “highest (of the observances)�, according to the Kiraṇatantra chapter 49 (dealing with ٲ).—Accordingly, “Garuḍa spoke: ‘You have taught me, O great Lord, the activities of the Neophyte, the Putraka and the Ācārya. Tell me those of the Sādhaka�. The Lord spoke: ‘[...] The highest of the observances (pravaravratavratānām pravara�) is the Raudra-vrata. On accomplishing that, one becomes [equal to] the Sakala [form of Śiva]. For attaining siddhi, the Sādhaka should perform a mantra-observance that is appropriate [to the mantra in question]’�.
