: Shodhganga: The significance of the mūla-beras (ś貹)

ʰٲḍāsԲ (प्रत्यालिडास) or ʰٲԲ refers to a type of ٳԲ (poses dependent on the ٳԲ첹), as defined according to texts dealing with ś貹 (arts and crafs), known as ś貹śāstras.—The stance when the body springs forward the moment an arrow has been discharged from the bow is called ٲḍa-ō. In this Բ, the arms and legs of ḍa have to be interchanged. When the bow is stretched fully back with the arrow held in the hand, the body is taut and tense. With the arrow, activated by this tension, having been freed by the archer, he is thrown forward with the recoil. The postural adjustment that the archer passes through to come back to equilibrium is called pratyāliḍԲ.
