“T tip of the thumb is the ʾٰⲹ-īٳ... the ʾٰⲹ-īٳ is also that between the thumb and the forefinger.� (ǻⲹԲ-ٳūٰ, 1.5.11)
“For the twice born, at the base of the forefinger is the ʾٰⲹ-īٳ.’� (վṣṇ-ṛt, 62.1-4)
“T base of the forefinger constitute the ʾٰⲹ-īٳ;� (ñⲹ, 1.19)
“T ʾٰⲹ-īٳ is at the base of the index-finger.� (Śṅk (quoted in Medhātithi))
