: Shodhganga: Kasyapa Samhita鈥擳ext on Visha Chikitsa狈颈谤驳耻峁囜笉颈尘奴濒补 (啶ㄠた啶班啶椸啶｀啶∴た啶啶�) refers to the 鈥渞oots of Nirgu峁囜笉墨鈥�, and is an ingredient used in the treatment (肠颈办颈迟蝉腻) of rat poison (腻办丑耻-惫颈峁), according to the K膩艣yapa Sa峁僪it膩: an ancient Sanskrit text from the P膩帽car膩tra tradition dealing with both Tantra and Vi峁肠颈办颈迟蝉腻鈥攁n important topic from 膧yurveda which deals with the study of Toxicology (Vi峁vidy膩 or Sarpavidy膩).鈥擪膩艣yapa has recommended a slew of generic formulae that successfully neutralise rat poison.鈥擜ccording to K膩艣yapasa峁僪it膩 (verse 11.84): 鈥淚ntake of tablet prepared from a 办丑腻谤墨 of two kinds of K峁p膩 Seeds, mixed with the urine of goat and cow, along with the root of Nirgu峁囜笉墨 (苍颈谤驳耻峁囜笉颈尘奴濒补) and jaggery, promptly destroys poison of home bound rats鈥�.
