Source: Wisdom Library: Jainism狈腻驳补蝉补尘耻诲谤补 (啶ㄠぞ啶椸じ啶啶︵啶�) is the name of an ocean (samudra) surrouding the continent of N膩ga诲惫墨辫补 (or simply N膩ga), according to Jain cosmology. The 狈腻驳补蝉补尘耻诲谤补 and N膩ga诲惫墨辫补 are situated in the middle-world (madhyaloka), which contains innumerable concentric continents (诲惫墨辫补), each surrounded by their own ocean. The middle-world, as opposed to the upper-world (adhaloka) and the lower-world (奴谤诲丑惫补濒辞办补), is the only world where humans can be born. 狈腻驳补蝉补尘耻诲谤补 is also known as plainly N膩ga.
狈腻驳补蝉补尘耻诲谤补 is recorded in ancient Jaina canonical texts dealing with cosmology and geography of the universe. Examples of such texts are the Sa峁僩raha峁嚹玶atna in the 艢vet膩mbara tradition or the Tiloyapannatti and the Trilokas膩ra in the Digambara tradition.
