The Purana (啶啶班ぞ啶�, pur膩峁嘺s) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India鈥檚 vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
Kavya (poetry)

Pancaratra (worship of N膩r膩ya峁嘺)
: archive.org: Catalogue of Pancaratra Agama TextsNabhasya (啶ㄠき啶膏啶�) is another name for the Bh膩drapada month during which certain celebrations are prescribed in chapter 44 of the 艢谤墨辫谤补艣苍补蝉补峁僪颈迟腻: a P膩帽car膩tra text comprising 5500 Sanskrit verses covering a number of subjects ranging from selecting a temple site through building and furnishing it to sanctifying and maintaining worship in the sacred complex.鈥擠escription of the chapter [惫颈箩补测辞迟蝉补惫补-腻诲颈-苍补谤补办补肠补迟耻谤诲补艣测耻迟蝉补惫补-补苍迟补-惫颈诲丑颈]: 艢r墨 observes that all the festivals so far enumerated are well and good for 驳峁沨补蝉迟丑补蝉 and for Yogins, but she wants to know how God makes it possible for V膩naprasthas to see Him (1-2). Bhagav膩n says that it is precisely why on the 10th day of bright fortnight of nabhasya [产丑腻诲谤补辫补诲补]-month the so-called 尘峁沢补测腻测腻迟谤辞迟蝉补惫补 is scheduled. For this, the utsavabera-icon is mounted on a horse and taken to the nearby forest with great 茅clat. There, while the Lord is placed in the shade of a 艣补尘颈-tree, the 膧c膩rya takes the Lord鈥檚 bow and shoots arrows in all directions (3-16).
Pancaratra (啶ぞ啶炧啶氞ぐ啶距い啷嵿ぐ, p膩帽car膩tra) represents a tradition of Hinduism where Narayana is revered and worshipped. Closeley related to Vaishnavism, the Pancaratra literature includes various Agamas and tantras incorporating many Vaishnava philosophies.
