In Hinduism
Kavya (poetry)
: Shodhganga: The Kavyamimamsa of Rajasekharaⲹś (माल्यशिख) is the name a locality mentioned in Ჹś’s 10th-century Kāvyamīmāṃsā.—It is a mountain in western India, which Rājaśekhara also accepted in his Kāvyamīmāṃsā. Therefore, it cannot be identified with mount Malyavān supposed to be situated near Kiṣkiṇdhā in south India. In the story of Rāmāyaṇa, Rāma stayed on this mountain during the rainy season. So it seems to different from Ჹś’s Malyaśikara and the mount Malyavān of Rāmāyaṇa and its identification may be sought for in the Vindhya range as a peak near about the Mālavā country on the west.

Kavya (काव्, kavya) refers to Sanskrit poetry, a popular ancient Indian tradition of literature. There have been many Sanskrit poets over the ages, hailing from ancient India and beyond. This topic includes mahakavya, or ‘epic poetry and natya, or ‘dramatic poetry.
