: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationLasatprabhu (लसत्प्रभ�) refers to the “brilliant lord� and is used to describe Śiva, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.37 (“The letter of betrothal is dispatched�).—Accordingly, as Himavat prepared the wedding of Menā and Śiva: “[...] The mountain Kailāsa favouring every one because of brilliant lord (lasatprabhu) Śiva came there delighted. All other mountains from several continents, O brahmin, assembled together in the abode of Himavat. O sage, all these mountains, invited by Himavat came there to attend the marriage of Śiva and Śivā. [...]�.
