kun btags (嘟�嘟脆綋嗉嬥綎嘟忇絺嘟�) in Tibetan refers to 鈥渋maginary phenomena鈥� and represents one of the 鈥淭hree Natures鈥� or 鈥�Three Characteristics鈥� (in Cittam膩tra ontology).鈥擳hey represent the three types of phenomena which are known in Tibetan mtshan nyid gsum.鈥擳he Cittam膩trins assert that dharmas established from their own side, without being merely imputed by thought, are specifically characterized, established by their own characteristics, and truly established; while dharmas established as mere imputations by thought are the reverse. They assert both the dependent nature and the thoroughly established nature as truly established, and the imaginary nature as non鈥搕ruly established. These are the three 鈥渘atures鈥� or 鈥渃haracteristics鈥� [e.g., imaginary phenomena (kun btags, parikalpita)] into which, according to Cittam膩trins, all existents may be divided.
