ٲḍa (ज्वालितगरु�) refers to the “blazing Garuḍa�, according to the ղٳṇḍⲹ첹貹Ჹ, an ancient Buddhist ritual manual on agriculture from the 5th-century (or earlier), containing various instructions for the Sangha to provide agriculture-related services to laypeople including rainmaking, weather control and prescriptions for the use of specially empowered pesticides to eliminate crop damage.—The Vajratuṇḍa-samayakalparāja consists of six chapters, e.g., (3) mahāgaruḍavegavajravegajvālitagaruḍahṛdayamaṇḍalī nāma dhāraṇ�—“The Great Garuḍa Thrust Vajra Thrust Blazing Garuḍa Heart Ruler Dhāraṇī�.
