There are numerous branches of the Veda which is often metaphorically described as a tree. Saty膩峁D佱笉ha or 贬颈谤补峁噛补办别艣颈苍 is a sub-branch of the Black Yajurveda. The 艢rauta蝉奴迟谤补 of this branch is ascribed to Saty膩峁D佱笉ha and the G峁沨ya蝉奴迟谤补 is ascribed to 贬颈谤补峁噛补办别艣颈苍. The Black Yajurveda is prevalent in the Southern India while White Yajurveda is prevalent mainly in the Northern India. Among the various sub-branches of the Black Yajurveda, Saty膩峁D佱笉ha or 贬颈谤补峁噛补办别艣颈苍 sub-branch is limited mainly to the Maharashtra. At present this sub-branch is comparatively less studied (than 膧pastamba which is more popular in Andhra). So this school is rather neglected one.
