: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English Translation骋颈谤颈辫耻迟谤墨 (啶椸た啶班た啶啶む啶班) refers to the 鈥渄aughter of the mountain鈥� and is used to describe P膩rvat墨 (the incarnation of Goddess 艢iv膩), according to the 艢ivapur膩峁嘺 2.3.11.鈥擜ccordingly, as Brahm膩 narrated: 鈥淥 N膩rada, the daughter of the mountain [i.e., 驳颈谤颈辫耻迟谤墨鈥�gire岣� putr墨], honoured in the three worlds, was brought up in the palace of Him膩cala. When she was eight years old, 艢iva distressed by 艢at墨鈥檚 separation came to know of her birth. Keeping her wonderful memory within his heart He rejoiced much. In the meantime, following the conventions of the world, 艢iva wished to perform penance in order to concentrate his mind properly. [...]鈥�.
