: WorldCat: Rāj nighaṇṭuī岹ṇḍī (दीर्घदण्डी) is another name for Ҵǰṣ�, a medicinal plant possibly identified with Adansonia digitata Linn. or “African baobab� from the Malvaceae or “mallows� family of flowering plants, according to verse 5.94-95 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The fifth chapter (貹貹ṭād-) of this book enumerates sixty varieties of smaller plants (ṣu-ṣu貹). Together with the names ī岹ṇḍī and Ҵǰṣ�, there are a total of eight Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.
