Dharmopagraha (धर्मोपग्रह) or ٳ󲹰DZ貹󲹻Բ refers to �(the gift of) supporting dharma� and represents one of the three types of Բ (liberality), according to chapter 1.1 [īś-ٰ] of Hemacandra’s 11th century Triṣaṣṭiśalākāpuruṣacaritra: an ancient Sanskrit epic poem narrating the history and legends of sixty-three illustrious persons in Jainism.

Accordingly, in the sermon of Sūri Dharmaghoṣa:—“[...] the gift of supporting dharma (dharmopagraha-Բ) is five-fold: purity of giver, receiver, gift, time, and thought. [... ] Dharma cannot exist without the body, nor the body without food, etc. Therefore the gift of support to dharma should be practiced constantly. Food, drink, etc., to suitable persons by way of support to dharma make continuation of the order and obtain emancipation�.
