His vocation (dharma) is to live freely like a cow or a deer, eating what he is given as alms. He has conquered the senses and keeps himself clean and pure (艣uci) by virtue of the water with which he bathes. He is a religious soul (诲丑补谤尘腻迟尘补苍) who should recollect Rudra at all times and so finally attains union (蝉腻测耻箩测补) with him.
