: Encyclopedia of Jainism: Tattvartha Sutra顿别艣腻惫补诲丑颈 (啶︵啶多ぞ啶掂ぇ啶�) is a category of clairvoyance knowledge (补惫补诲丑颈-箩帽腻苍补). Avadhi refers to one of the five types of knowledge (箩帽腻苍补), according to Tattv膩rthas奴tra 1.9-10.
What is meant by 诲别艣腻惫补诲丑颈? This is the clairvoyant knowledge attained by a person having right faith but not following the vows (avirati) i.e. in the fourth stage of spiritual purification (驳耻峁嘺蝉迟丑腻苍补). Generally clairvoyance is possible to be attained by the living beings in all the four destinies /states (gati). However the 诲别艣腻惫补诲丑颈 can be attained by living beings in human and sub-human states with right faith.
