These deities [e.g., chu lha sbrul gdong] form part part of the the Hundred Peaceful and Wrathful Deities who manifest to a deceased person following the dissolution of the body and consciousness whilst they are in the intermediate state (bardo) between death and rebirth. Varu峁嘺dev墨 is part of the 鈥渢he six yoginis corresponding to the activity of subjugating鈥� and is also known as Varu峁嘺dev墨. She is known in Tibetan as chu lha sbrul gdong.
Tibetan Buddhism includes schools such as Nyingma, Kadampa, Kagyu and Gelug.
