: McGill: The architectural theory of the M膩nas膩ra叠丑耻惫补苍腻诲丑颈辫补迟颈 (啶啶掂え啶距ぇ啶苦お啶むた).鈥擠uring the ritual of 鈥渙pening of the eyes鈥�, explained in M膩nas膩ra chapter 70, the sthapati (master builder) worships 艢iva as 叠丑耻惫补苍腻诲丑颈辫补迟颈, 鈥淟ord of the Universe鈥� (or in theological terms, Lord of the 224 bhuvanas, planes of experience), conceived to be present in the main water pitcher on the altar. Holy incense and lamp are waved before the (yet) unmanifested deity; offerings of sandal-paste, flowers, molasses, corn, milk, curdled milk, clarified butter and rice are made to it.
While laying the foundation, he meditates upon 艢iva in his emanate form of Vi艣vakarman, creator, and as 叠丑耻惫补苍腻诲丑颈辫补迟颈, lord of the universe, who is the ground of its creation, preservation and dissolution.
