󲹻ṣa (भद्राक्ष) is the name of an ancient king from Takṣaśilā, according to the Kathāsaritsāgara, chapter 69. Accordingly, as minister Vicitrakatha said to king Mṛgāṅkadatta: �... there was in the city of Takṣaśilā a king of the name of 󲹻ṣa. He, desiring a son, was worshipping Lakṣmī every day with one hundred and eight white lotuses upon a sword�.

The Kathāsaritsāgara (‘ocean of streams of story�), mentioning 󲹻ṣa, is a famous Sanskrit epic story revolving around prince Naravāhanadatta and his quest to become the emperor of the 󲹰 (celestial beings). The work is said to have been an adaptation of Guṇāḍhya’s Bṛhatkathā consisting of 100,000 verses, which in turn is part of a larger work containing 700,000 verses.
