: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection IAkhamal is possibly identified with Akhara: the author of the L膩va峁嚹� (dealing with the Didactic or Moral section of Jain Canonical literature), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the 鈥榁incenzo Joppi鈥� library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.鈥擳he L膩va峁嚹� contains general teaching about impermanence and invitation to awakeness. The material collected in the Koba database shows that these verses can be signed by Akhamal (var. Akhemal), by Akhapata, or be unsigned. The reading of the Udine manuscript is clear. So A峁ra is either another variant of these names or another person.
