īi (अभी�) (Sanskrit īci) is another name for the constellation Abhijit, according to chapter 1.6 [īś-ٰ] of Hemacandra’s 11th century Triṣaṣṭiśalākāpuruṣacaritra: an ancient Sanskrit epic poem narrating the history and legends of sixty-three illustrious persons in Jainism.

Accordingly, “[...] when eighty-nine fortnights of the third spoke in this 辱ṇ� remained, in the forenoon of the thirteenth day of the dark half of Māgha; the constellation īci (or īi) being in conjunction with the moon; seated thus in 貹ⲹṅk posture, remaining in coarse body-activity, he suppressed coarse speech- and mind-activity�.
